Another year has passed and Winchester Harley Club  has now celebrated its 8th Anniversary.

Where did we go to celebrate? Lynne found a great site, East Dean Farm, Chesil Beach near Weymouth.

The club started the weekend celebrations meeting at Layby Lills ready for the ride down in the sunshine. Upon arriving the beers were soon being passed around and tents were erected. Friends sat around chatting and laughing. The club meeting took place and the coming years events were talked over.

It was decided (over another beer or two) that a walk to the local pub was required for refreshments and food so off we went on 'a hike'

We wandered back to the site stopping off at their waterhole for a nip or two and for those who hadn't eaten, food was ordered. We soon starting chatting to holidaymakers.  A 'roaring' time was had.  The day ended back at the tents with more laughter and a nightcap

Sunday morning and bedding was dragged out of tents for a spot of girlie sunbathing before the ride home. Upon rising out of his pit, Eddie realised that he had misplaced his sunglasses. He soon recalled that he could have only left them at the pub as he hadn't been anywhere else! He was correct in his thinking as they were found under the pool table..........

All too soon it was time to pack up and head home. A senic ride home via Weymouth stopping en-route for breakfast.

Once again, great friends having a great time. Here's to 2008

The May Day Bank Holiday weekend heralded the 7th Anniversary of WHRC. This year the club decided to spend the weekend together at Pewsey.Smurf and Pauline made arrangements with the landlady of the 'Coopers' who allowed us to use the pub's field and facilities.

Saturday moring saw the club members meet at Mark and Lynne's for the ride to Pewsey. On arrival at the pub, tents were soon erected, the sun came out and the weekend began in ernest.Presentations given out that afternoon included an anniversary gift to each club member, a commemorative plaque for the clubhouse from Suzy and Chris, a 'surprise' birthday cake for Denise and last but not least our newest lady rider, Ros, received her club patch.Booze, conversation and laughter flowed freely.

The evening began in the Coopers bar and then progressed into the village where we visited two other local pubs, The Crown and The Greyhound, both of whom made us feel very welcome.Following a quick stop off for food it was back to The Coopers where the party atmosphere continued .

Sunday morning found most of use showing various effects of 'the morning after the night before!'. Once everyone was up and more or less concious, a 20 minute walk through the village and along the canal brought us to The Wharf. Here we enjoyed the best hangover cure going, a full English breakfast, before to returning to the tents.

All too soom it was time to pack up and leave.Everyone agreed it had been a brilliant weekend.Once again 'Good friends having a great time'.

Thanks to Val at The Coopers and the villagers at Pewsey. Apologies to the local Chinese take-away!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY WHRC
